The IT FMS Engineer will be stationed on-site to provide first-level support for the company’s IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, servers, LAN, and IT peripherals. This role is responsible for resolving user complaints, coordinating vendor support for in-warranty systems, maintaining service continuity, and assisting users with basic hardware/software concerns. The position operates under a 12-month non-comprehensive support contract and is vital in ensuring seamless daily operations across the facility.
Extended Hours & Holidays (if required):
- Any work beyond regular hours or on paid holidays will be compensated with transport and overtime (to be included in monthly bill).
- No work is expected on public holidays unless specifically required.
Contract Terms:
- Contract Period: 1 Year (from the date of award)
- Working Hours: As per company’s business hours
- Public Holidays: No work expected unless required (as per holiday list)
- Overtime: Paid transport and additional billing in case of off-day or extended hours
- Termination Clause: 30 days prior written notice required by either party
- Renewal Clause: Contract renewal will include a minimum 10% increase in cost
- Employment Terms: No permanent offer from client company to the deployed engineer is allowed during or after the contract term
Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Support:-
Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, servers, and network devices ,
Monitor and maintain proper operation of IT hardware and peripherals. -
Help Desk & User Support:-
Offer Level 1 support: attend calls, personal/telephonic queries, and guide users,
Assist with basic software (e.g., Windows, MS Office) and hardware troubleshooting, - Vendor Coordination for In-Warranty Devices:-
Log service calls with respective vendors for under-warranty equipment,
Follow up on replacements/repairs and ensure proper closure,
Update the Engineer-in-Charge on the status and progress of calls. - Reporting & Tracking:- Maintain logs of service tickets, vendor follow-ups, part replacements, and user issues,
Ensure timely updates and documentation of all support activities.
Must Have
- ITI-Wiremen
- ITI COPA or Diploma EC
- Perfect written English
- Highly creative and autonomous
- Any Other Relevant Qualification
Nice to have
- Experience using remote desktop tools or basic ticketing platforms.
- Exposure to Active Directory or domain-joined environments.
- Coordination experience with OEM service centers/vendors
- Asset tracking and basic inventory management knowledge
